The Scrubs Bus?

Yes!  A scrubs bus. A bus outfitted with hundreds of pieces of scrub tops and pants from name brand manufacturers as well as compression socks to complete your medical uniform.  There is also a fitting room and onsite embroidery.

Smocks and Socks is a mobile scrubs business designed to come to you giving you the convenience and relaxed opportunity to select fresh, quality professional apparel that will help you look your professional best.

My Story

I'm a wife and a mother with a full-time job. I was already busy but I felt as if there was more I could do. Not only to generate additional income but to satisfy the drive in me to create, pursue,  and inspire.

I wear scrubs most days, all day, and I want to not only dress appropriately for my job but I also want to look good and feel comfortable. Wearing scrubs can empower you by giving you the feel of, "Yes, I help people (or animals!) in their time of need."  However, they can also make you feel plain, monochromatic, and blended in with those around you.

I started having my scrubs custom embroidered with names, usually of lost pets.  These names would be placed in an inconspicuous location, usually on the hem of my scrub pant leg, the cuff of my lab coat, or pocket.  I call these custom labels, "Scrub-Tats".  Scrub-Tats (or "scrub tattoos") allow me to express my individuality while still remaining part of the uniformed team.

We've all heard it said, "When you look good, you feel good". This should hold true whether at work or at play. When you are at work, for most of us its not just another job; it's our passion. For this reason, I feel proud to be able to supply hard-working women and men with fabulous scrubs in a convenient, affordable outlet.  And let's not forget the onsite embroidery.  I felt this was a true necessity as this would typically take several days at best with traditional retailers. This would lead to a brief wait time between your purchase and the enjoyment of your new scrubs.

At Smocks and Socks, we aim to be your go-to scrubs shop. Except you will not have to go to us, we will come to you. The first time I purchased scrubs in the Triangle, I waited an hour in the parking lot for the shop to open.  The selection was good and I did enjoy my experience and my purchases. However, in this day of long carpool lines, short lunch breaks and late night sports practice, it is important to complete as many regular and necessary tasks, including the purchasing of scrubs, in small pockets of the day.

We can utilize your small pockets of time by bringing this mobile scrubs shop to you. Click the button below to schedule a date and time to come set up in your area. It could be in your workplace parking lot; the lot in a local shopping center; or at an alternate location for a planned pop-up party for several gathered friends or coworkers.

You are going to love the experience and the convenience. How will you spend your extra time saved by climbing aboard the mobile scrubs bus with Smocks and Socks?
